Hospital Crisis Clinician
About The Position
The Hospital-Based Crisis Clinician works at South Shore Hospital Integrated Services and contributes to the delivery of behavioral health services to the community. Under the guidance of the Program Director, the clinician works closely with medical staff to triage and assess clients who need behavioral health interventions. The role determines appropriate levels of care, provides clinical interventions, and offers case management support. The position serves a diverse population of children and adults in a fast-paced setting, with clinical supervision from an experienced, independently licensed supervisor. The stated daytime schedule is Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, from 8 AM to 6 PM. Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, certifications, and licenses. The posting lists an annual salary range based on a full-time, 40-hour workweek, and an $8-per-hour shift differential for Saturdays, Sundays, and Monday through Friday from 8 PM to 8 AM.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or another mental health discipline.
- Training in assessing adults in crisis and competency in assessing children and their families in crisis.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation protocols.
- Experience providing follow-up and referral services to ensure continuity of care.
- Experience supporting adults with substance use disorder.
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of one year of experience in a Crisis Intervention setting or a related field placement in a Crisis Intervention setting is preferred.
- Experience in a hospital or integrated care setting is highly desirable.
