Hospital Cook, Per Diem
About The Position
Southridge Behavioral Hospital is a beautiful and new state-of-the-art facility. As a joint venture with the Trinity Health System and Universal Health Services, we serve up to 96 adult and geriatric patients across four units. We believe that caring, dedicated and valued staff provide exceptional patient care. We are seeking high caliber applicants that will provide innovative and evidence-based care focused on our patient’s individual needs, comfort and safety. The Cook is responsible for safely preparing, cooking and presenting meals according to hospital recipe and menu for patients, staff and visitors. Experience in scratch cooking is required.
Requirements
- High School Required.
- Experience with scratch cooking required.
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions in order to operate food service equipment and follow direction.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a cook or cook’s aide in an institutional setting is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Safely preparing, cooking and presenting meals according to hospital recipe and menu for patients, staff and visitors.
- Completing assigned tasks in order to provide an efficient, safe, sanitary, attractive and orderly facility.
