About The Position
This is a temporary to full-time position for an experienced Hospital Cook. The role involves preparing food according to menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines, while adhering to strict food safety, sanitation, and infection control policies. The cook will also be responsible for ensuring proper portioning, presentation, and temperature control of food items. Additionally, the position requires assisting with inventory, prep work, and kitchen organization, and working collaboratively with the dietary and food service teams. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour. Some hospitals or clients may require vaccination or testing records.
Requirements
- Valid Food Handler's Certificate
- Prior cooking experience required
- Knowledge of special diets, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
