HOSPITAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)
About The Position
The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery (DBHR) is seeking to hire a Hospital Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Chester Mental Health Center. This role plans, directs, administers, and coordinates mental health services and manages the general, medical, psychiatric, administrative, and fiscal functions. The CEO directs, reviews, and enforces standards of care and treatment for patients, and directs staff on budget development and management. The position serves as the official spokesperson for the hospital and interprets department, state, and federal policies, regulations, and procedures to subordinates and external groups. Chester Mental Health Center aims to help patients achieve their full recovery potential and emphasizes culture, safety, recovery, efficiency, and quality.
Requirements
- Requires equivalency to a master’s degree in a health or human services related field.
- Requires four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in the administration of a social services department, organization, facility, or hospital.
Nice To Haves
- Five (5) years of professional experience organizing, administering and evaluating ongoing services in a multi-disciplinary operation.
- Five (5) years of professional experience interacting with and communicating in oral and written form with internal and external stakeholders.
- Five (5) years of professional supervisory experience assigning work, providing guidance to subordinates, recommending counseling and/or discipline following collective bargaining agreements, training staff, preparing and signing performance evaluations and approving time off.
- Five (5) years of professional experience developing and interpreting policies and procedures for a public or private organization.
- Five (5) years of professional experience working with Federal and State standards and regulations relative to residential care and treatment programs.
- Five (5) years of professional experience developing strategic plans, long and short-term goals for a residential treatment program.
Responsibilities
- Serves as the Hospital Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Chester Mental Health Center.
- Directs, reviews, and enforces standards of care and treatment for patients receiving services at the hospital.
- Directs Fiscal Management staff on matters involving the development and management of Chester’s budget.
- Serves as official spokesperson for the hospital.
- Serves as full-line supervisor.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonable within the scope of those enumerated above.
