Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proficiency with medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance processes, and billing codes (CPT, ICD-10).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills daily to ensure billing accuracy and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with insurance representatives, and healthcare providers to clarify billing issues or coding discrepancies.
- Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records enables the specialist to process claims swiftly and maintain accurate documentation.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding standards supports correct charge capture and compliance with regulatory requirements.
