About The Position

Harborview Medical Center - Inpatient Rehabilitation Therapy is seeking a Hospital Assistant / Rehab Therapy Aide. This is a full-time position (100% FTE, 40 hours per week) on the Day Shift. The role involves assisting physical, occupational, and therapeutic recreation staff in a diverse and fast-paced environment. Harborview Medical Center is the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine, providing specialized care to patients from throughout the Pacific Northwest, including vulnerable residents of King County. Requirements

• Nursing Assistant-Registered (NAR) with the State of Washington
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Six months experience involving customer service in a health care setting OR six months experience involving direct patient care OR equivalent education/experience
• Valid American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers upon hire

Responsibilities

• Orders and stocks equipment
• Managing and organizing supply areas
• Cleans and maintains equipment, including but not limited to periodic monitoring, safety inspection, and regular cleaning, maintenance, and set up
• Assisting clinical staff in miscellaneous tasks including record retrieval, filing, faxing, photocopying, arranging for interpreter services, charge preparation, and compilation
• Direct patient care including ADL’s, exercise, ambulating or positioning as directed by the therapy clinician, and safety support during groups or patient treatment
