The Impact You’ll Make As a volunteer, you will act as a friend and companion to patients with a terminal diagnosis (six months or less to live). You will provide essential emotional support and companionship, as well as much-needed "respite" (a short break) for family caregivers. Location: Visits take place in the patient’s home, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes within your local area.
