About The Position

Westminster at Home is seeking a Hospice Volunteer to join our Home Health/Hospice Team! This role serves as an integral member of the Hospice Interdisciplinary Group in various settings, including home care, respite, inpatient, bereavement, and administrative duties. The volunteer performs assigned tasks and serves the patient and family/caregiver under the guidance of a nurse or as part of the administrative team. The volunteer may act as a substitute family/caregiver in the home, performing activities they have been prepared for and agreed to undertake. This can include homemaker chores, running errands, and providing respite care. The volunteer will only work with assigned patients. They will provide input into the plan of care and interdisciplinary meetings as appropriate, and document hours and services as instructed, maintaining confidentiality. Providing availability on a regular basis and/or in keeping with patient and family/caregiver needs is also expected.

Requirements

• Good driving record is required to be considered for this role

Nice To Haves

• Previous Volunteer work is preferred
• Previous Experience with Hospice or death is preferred

Responsibilities
