About The Position

Comfort Hospice is hiring a PRN / per diem Hospice RN to provide care throughout the Pahrump area. The nurse will act as a trusted case manager, delivering hospice care to patients in their homes and communities, guiding families through care decisions, and supporting comfort, dignity, and compassionate care during end-of-life moments. The role is part of a mission-driven organization focused on compassionate end-of-life care and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. The employer is a separate operating subsidiary of The Pennant Group, Inc.

Requirements

Current RN license in the State of Arizona.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.
Strong clinical skills and a passion for patient-centered care.
Ability to work independently and a passion for making a real difference.

Nice To Haves

Hospice or home health experience preferred.
Homecare Homebase (HCHB) experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Complete comprehensive assessments of patients and families to determine hospice needs.
Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise them as needed.
Provide skilled nursing care, administer medications, and manage symptoms.
Educate patients and families about care techniques, medications, and comfort measures.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate changes to physicians.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families.
Supervise hospice aides and delegate responsibilities appropriately.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
Participate in the on-call rotation as needed.
