About The Position

We are hiring an After Hours Registered Nurse (RN) for a Hospice position providing end-of-life care to patients in their homes in the Lisle, IL area. This role involves delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a hospice setting, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team dedicated to comfort, dignity, and quality of life. The RN will respond to after-hours and on-call patient needs by performing urgent assessments, managing symptoms and pain, and providing compassionate end-of-life support in real time. The position also includes supporting and guiding patients and families during evenings, nights, weekends, and crisis situations, ensuring they feel informed, reassured, and cared for throughout the hospice journey. The role requires applying strong clinical judgment and critical thinking to coordinate care needs, respond to changing patient conditions, and maintain accurate, timely, and compliant EMR documentation. The RN will work independently, but never alone, and travel to patient homes within the assigned territory.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse, RN license in the state you work
  • Two years of RN experience and the clinical expertise to deliver quality patient care
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to spend approximately 20% of your workday driving to and from patient locations
