About The Position

Elara Caring is hiring a PRN Hospice Registered Nurse to provide compassionate nursing care to patients in their homes. The nurse assesses patients to determine care needs, completes initial and ongoing assessments, and provides care in accordance with the plan of care and physician orders. The role includes protecting patient and staff privacy in accordance with HIPAA, monitoring patient conditions and reporting changes to the care team, educating patients and families, responding appropriately to changes in condition, and helping ensure quality, safe, and continuous patient care. The position requires travel between patient homes and assigned work locations.

Requirements

• Current state license as a Registered Nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited certificate, diploma, associate, or baccalaureate school of nursing.
• At least 1 year of experience as a nurse in a clinical care setting.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, or reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations.

Nice To Haves

• Home Health experience is preferred, but not required.
