Hospice RN, PRN
About The Position
Providence Hospice and Palliative Care, a growing division of Providence Life Services, provides a continuum of healthcare focused on senior living. The Hospice Registered Nurse provides compassionate, patient-centered care to patients and families facing end of life in Homer Glen, Illinois, and surrounding suburbs. The role includes weekday evening on-call work and required weekend availability. The position is PRN. Mileage reimbursement is provided at $0.76 per mile. Compensation is based on visit type and whether the visit occurs on a weekday, weekend, or holiday: $60–$95 per visit. Training and meeting attendance are paid at $35 per hour.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
- At least one year of RN experience; hospice or home health experience is preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
- Driver’s license in good standing.
- Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care.
- Provide case management services.
- Conduct initial assessments of new patients.
- Travel to patients wherever they reside, including private homes, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living facilities.
- Participate in an on-call schedule.
