Hiring Hospice Registered Nurse in Columbus, OH with $2120 Weekly Gross
About The Position
Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking a Hospice RN for travel/contract positions in Columbus, OH. We are accepting both local and traveler candidates. This role involves providing and coordinating care for assigned Hospice patients, completing admissions, visits, and managing assigned caseloads. The nurse will develop and implement nursing care plans, educate patients and families on disease management, and provide Hospice nursing care within the scope of practice and relevant regulations. Key responsibilities include ensuring physician orders are transcribed correctly, assessing patients' status, documenting changes, and completing charting. The position covers a 60-mile radius around Columbus and surrounding areas.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse: 2 years - Required
- Recent/Current Hospice nursing experience in a home health setting: 1 year within the last 3 years – Required
- Hands on Home Care Home Base (HCHB) charting experience – Required
- Must have valid Driver’s License and Personal Auto Insurance
- ASN or an equivalent – Required
- RN License for State of Ohio or Compact - Required
- BLS Certification from AHA or American Red Cross - Required
Nice To Haves
- BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate care for assigned Hospice patients
- Complete admissions, visits and manage assigned case load
- Develop and implement nursing care plans for patients as assigned
- Empower patients and families to reach healthcare goals by educating them on disease management
- Provide Hospice nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice as defined within the state Nurse Practice Act regulations, policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as facility and corporate policies and procedures
- Ensure physicians’ orders are legible if taken verbally and transcribed appropriately per policy and procedure
- Ensure patients’ status is assessed on an ongoing basis and pertinent information is gathered and documented
- Notify physicians of significant changes in status
- Document and complete charting
