Hiring Hospice Registered Nurse in North Andover, MA with $2200 Weekly Gross
About The Position
Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking an RN Hospice for a 13-week travel/contract position in North Andover, MA. This role is open to both local and traveler candidates. The position involves providing and coordinating care for assigned hospice patients in their homes, developing and implementing nursing care plans, supporting patient recovery, and educating patients and families on disease management. The nurse will provide Hospice nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice, ensure physicians’ orders are transcribed appropriately, assess patients on an ongoing basis, notify physicians of significant changes in status, and complete all patient visit charting within 24 hours. The role also includes providing bereavement support to patient’s families as needed. The territories to cover include Middlesex County, MA, and surrounding areas.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse: 1 year - Required
- Recent/Current Hospice Nursing experience: 1 year with the last 3 years – Required
- Home Care Home Base (HCHB) charting experience – Required
- Must have valid Driver’s License and Provide proof of personal Auto Insurance
- Must have reliable vehicle for patient visits
- Must be Covid Vaccinated or provide medical or religious exemption
- ASN or an equivalent – Required
- RN License for State applying or Compact if accepted - Required
- BLS Certification from AHA or American Red Cross - Required
Nice To Haves
- BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate care for assigned hospice patients in comfort of their homes.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans including Start of Care and admissions as assigned.
- Support patient recovery and ability to stay at home - enabling them to spend quality time with their loved ones and doing the activities they enjoy.
- Empower patients and families to reach healthcare goals by educating them on disease management.
- Provide Hospice nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice as defined within the state Nurse Practice Act regulations, policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as facility and corporate policies and procedures.
- Ensure physicians’ orders are legible if taken verbally and transcribed appropriately per policy and procedure.
- Ensure patients’ status is assessed on an ongoing basis and pertinent information is gathered and documented.
- Notify physicians of significant changes in status.
- Document and complete charting for all patient visits within 24 hours.
- Provide bereavement support to patient’s families as needed.
