About The Position

Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) is seeking a compassionate RN to join their Hospice team. This role serves patients in an outpatient setting, coordinating the implementation of a Hospice Plan of Care. The RN will work under the direction of a physician and the Arizona State Nurse Practice Act, providing nursing care in compliance with standards and regulations. Key duties include making assessments, implementing interventions, developing care plans, and evaluating patient responses. Nurses will educate patients and families about disease processes, manage pain and symptoms, and offer support. This position is part of an interdisciplinary inpatient hospice team.

Requirements

  • Graduate of Nursing Program (Associates or Diploma Program)
  • Arizona RN License or compact state RN license
  • Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card, required within 20 days of hire
  • AZ Driver's License
  • AZ Food Handlers Card
  • BLS through Arizona Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Must be 21 yoa or older
  • One (1) or more years of experience in acute care nursing or hospice
  • Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills
  • Able to care for patients in a variety of home settings.
  • Able to assist with the movement of an adult patient to 300 lbs.
  • Able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach, while working with patients for the entire shift.
  • Expected duties have routine potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues.
  • Requires travel, in properly insured vehicle, throughout our service area.

Responsibilities

  • Serves patients in an outpatient setting.
  • Coordinates the implementation of a Hospice Plan of Care for each assigned patient.
  • Provides nursing care to patients in compliance with nursing standards and regulations, under the direction of the physician and the Arizona State Nurse Practice Act.
  • Utilizes the nursing process to make continuing assessments of the patient’s total health needs.
  • Implements nursing interventions based on assessment data.
  • Develops and implements the nursing plan of care and evaluates the patient’s response.
  • Educates patients and families about the disease process.
  • Helps manage and control pain and other symptoms.
  • Offers solace to those in distress.
  • Supports patients and their families at a critical juncture in their lives as part of an interdisciplinary inpatient hospice team.
