About The Position

Compassus is hiring a Hospice On-Call Registered Nurse to provide hospice care after hours and on weekends as patient needs arise. The role helps patients spend quality time with loved ones and participate in activities they enjoy, while building trusting, compassionate relationships with patients and families. The nurse educates caregivers and supports patients and families in maintaining comfort and coping during after-hours emergencies.

Schedules are flexible to meet agency staffing needs and may include weekends only, weeknights only, or seven days on followed by seven days off. Compassus describes a supportive, family-focused culture and provides opportunities for professional development, mentorship, and career growth.

Requirements

• Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state where the employee works.
• Two years of experience as a registered nurse.
• Current driver's license.
• Current CPR and BCLS certifications.
• Flexibility to meet agency staffing needs, including schedules such as weekends only, weeknights only, or seven days on and seven days off.
