Hospice LVN/LPN
About The Position
Mission Healthcare is hiring a Hospice LVN/LPN to provide nursing care to hospice patients and support their families and caregivers in Orange County, California. The role implements nursing practice according to comprehensive assessments and plans of care, documents patient services, provides education, coordinates services with the interdisciplinary group, uses equipment and supplies appropriately, and supports pain and symptom management. The position is full-time on a weekend schedule, Friday through Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Pay is $35.00–$42.00 per hour, depending on experience. Requirements
- Current state license as an LVN/LPN.
- One year of experience working as an LVN/LPN.
- Current BLS and hands-on CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation.
Responsibilities
- Implement current nursing practice following a comprehensive assessment and the plan of care.
- Provide accurate and timely documentation of patient services to reflect the plan of care.
- Assess patients and provide patient and family/caregiver education and information pertinent to the diagnosis and self-plan of care.
- Participate in coordination of hospice services and appropriately report identified needs to the interdisciplinary group, including hospice aides, OT, PT, social work, speech therapy, dieticians, or the Clinical Supervisor.
- Use and prepare equipment and supplies effectively while adhering to aseptic technique.
- Provide appropriate pain and symptom management and evaluate patient responses to treatments and medications.
