Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of employment.
• Possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Possess automobile liability insurance.
• Have dependable transportation.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience.

Nice To Haves

• Previous home health or hospice experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care to terminally ill patients.
• Take and keep track of patients' vital signs such as weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
• Prepare and give patients injections, monitor catheters, and dress wounds.
• Assist with basic care such as bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, standing, walking, and eating.
• Communicate compassionately with patients and families.
• Utilize keen observation skills and high ethical standards.
• Alert doctors and others about changes in patients' conditions.
