Hospice Inpatient Unit Registered Nurse (RN) - Per Diem
About The Position
Catholic Health Good Shepherd Hospice is seeking compassionate and caring Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide End of Life care to patients in their 12-bed Inpatient Hospice Unit. The Inpatient Hospice RN is responsible for providing nursing care to hospice patients, residents, and/or families in a 12-bed unit located at their stand-alone facility on the campus of St. Charles Hospital. The care provided focuses on symptom management and pain control. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of hospice concepts, philosophy, policies, and procedures. Prior experience in home care, hospice, and/or oncology is preferred.
Requirements
- Current and valid NY State license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- One to two years recent general bedside nursing experience with good clinical skills.
- New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of one year of recent hands on experience
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of hospice concepts, philosophy, policies and procedures.
- Prior experience in home care, hospice and/or oncology preferred.
