About The Position

This is an executive hospice leadership role overseeing operational performance, compliance, quality initiatives, and strategic growth for a fully staffed hospice branch supporting approximately 120 patient census. The position involves direct oversight of budgeting, admissions, interdisciplinary team operations, and organizational development. It is a senior leadership position reporting directly to the Governing Body and is located in the Huntsville metro area.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years hospice leadership experience REQUIRED
  • Bachelor’s degree REQUIRED
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare Hospice Certification and hospice operations REQUIRED
  • Proven leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills REQUIRED
  • Experience overseeing admissions, compliance, budgeting, and team development REQUIRED
  • Experience building, growing, or improving hospice operations REQUIRED

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Registered Nurse license preferred and in good standing

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all operational aspects of hospice branch services
  • Lead interdisciplinary hospice team operations and organizational performance
  • Manage regulatory compliance, Medicare hospice standards, and quality initiatives
  • Oversee budgeting, strategic planning, and operational growth initiatives
  • Supervise admissions processes, staffing operations, and team development
  • Maintain high standards of compassionate hospice care and organizational accountability
  • Support branch growth, operational improvement, and patient care outcomes
