About The Position

The primary function of this role is to act as a liaison between the Hospice and the community, addressing community and customer needs. Responsibilities include developing and promoting hospice programs and services while maintaining quality healthcare standards and optimizing resources. The consultant provides guidance to the Hospice on community needs, program development, personnel, and financial requirements. They will collaboratively develop and maintain policies for new programs and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws related to hospice marketing. This role assists in directing programs by delegating responsibilities to administrative and supervisory staff and partners with the Interdisciplinary Group/Team to support safe and effective patient/family care. Additionally, they will establish a public relations program to interpret hospice services and foster good working relationships with physicians and community agencies. Other duties as assigned by the Governing Body will also be carried out.

Requirements

  • Experience in the health care field.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all segments of the staff, the lay and professional public, the Governing Body, the Advisory Board, and the Medical Director.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a public relations program for interpretation of the Hospice’s services and to foster good working relations with physicians and community agencies.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by the Governing Body.
