About The Position

Anew Hospice is an Indiana-owned and operated company committed to providing compassionate care, clinical excellence, and outstanding customer service to patients and their families at the end of life. The Community Liaison is responsible for managing all aspects of the organization's marketing and sales efforts, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and referral sources, responding to customer needs, identifying business opportunities, developing leads, contacting potential customers, and managing day-to-day referral activity. This role covers the Kokomo, Anderson, and New Castle areas.

Requirements

  • Hospice experience.
  • Professional relationships in the Kokomo market.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in health care marketing management, preferably in home-care operations.
  • At least one-year experience in sales preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise administrative personnel.
  • Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
  • Knowledge of corporate business management.
  • Excellent communications, negotiation, and public relations skills.
  • Autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
  • Compliance with and adherence to the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Compliance with agency's privacy practices and procedures related to client and employee records and all state/federal health privacy laws as outlined by HIPAA.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of organization marketing/sales.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and referral sources.
  • Respond to customer needs and identify business opportunities.
  • Actualize opportunities for growth, develop leads, and contact potential customers.
  • Manage day-to-day referral activity.
  • Provide direct oversight of the establishment and implementation of marketing/sales initiatives.
  • Understand and adhere to all laws, statutes, and regulations regarding anti-kickback, lawful marketing activities, patient solicitation, and accurate marketing materials.
  • Territory Management, including keeping up to date with market trends and competitor analysis.
  • Generate reports and present analysis of marketing and sales progress.
  • Daily management of referral activity and communication with the Anew intake department.
  • Assist in establishing organization volume projections in the annual budget and allocations for the marketing department.
  • Monitor allocation of resources according to limitations.
  • Conduct market assessments and develop a comprehensive marketing plan to meet budgetary volume projections.
  • Employ marketing and promotional initiatives to achieve budgetary volume projections.
  • Build and monitor community, customer, payer, and patient perceptions of Anew Hospice as a high-quality provider.
  • Contribute toward effective strategic planning, including identifying opportunities for additional or improved services.
  • Maintain comprehensive working knowledge of Anew Hospice markets, including government agencies, major payer groups, key referral sources, and competitor market positioning.
  • Maintain comprehensive working knowledge in the field of marketing and share information with appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain comprehensive working knowledge of community resources and assist customers in accessing them.
  • Monitor and report cost-effectiveness of marketing efforts.
  • Demonstrate C.A.R.E values to clients, family members, customers, and staff.
  • Comply with and adhere to the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the Bloodborne Pathogens Standards.
  • Comply with the agency’s privacy practices and procedures related to client and employee records and all state/federal health privacy laws as outlined by HIPAA.
