About The Position

AccentCare is seeking a state-certified nurse’s aide to provide compassionate, hands-on hospice care to patients in their homes or care facilities. The role supports patients’ comfort, safety, dignity, and daily living needs while providing end-of-life care. Candidates must live in or very near ZIP codes 33177, 33183, 33186, 33187, 33193, or 33196. The schedule is weekday and weekend days, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Pay is based on experience. This is a PRN position.

Requirements

• State certification as a nurse’s aide, completion of required training, and a score of at least 85% on the agency’s competency exam; additional credentials vary by state.
• CPR certification is required for direct patient care in Georgia and Washington.
• Must be listed on the state aide registry with a clear record and be eligible to provide care in homes, nursing facilities, or hospitals.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and state-required auto insurance.
• Must live in or very near ZIP codes 33177, 33183, 33186, 33187, 33193, or 33196.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on hospice care, including help with personal hygiene, repositioning, and mobility.
• Support patients in homes or care facilities through frequent walking, standing, reaching, physical activity, and occasional driving.
• Assist with lifting patients up to 200 pounds with assistance.
• Monitor patient comfort and respond to needs while assisting with activities of daily living and maintaining safety and dignity.
• Adapt to varying home and facility conditions, including temperature changes, moderate noise, and standard healthcare exposures, while following infection-control and safety protocols.
