About The Position

AccentCare is hiring a full-time Hospice CNA serving East Hillsborough County, including Plant City, Seffner, Dover, and surrounding areas. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; training lasts three to four weeks at the Tampa office. Pay is based on experience.

The Hospice CNA provides compassionate, hands-on care to hospice patients in their homes or care facilities. The role supports patients’ comfort, safety, dignity, and daily living needs while following infection-control and safety protocols. Work involves regular physical activity and adapting to home and facility environments. Requirements

• Be certified by the state as a nurse’s aide, complete required training, and achieve at least 85% on the agency’s competency exam; additional requirements vary by state.
• Be listed on the state aide registry with a clear record and be eligible to provide care in homes, nursing facilities, or hospitals.
• Have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and state-required auto insurance.
• Be able to perform frequent physical activity, including walking, standing, reaching, and assisting with lifting up to 200 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospice patients with hands-on care, including assistance with personal hygiene, repositioning, and mobility.
• Support patients in homes or care facilities through frequent walking, standing, reaching, and occasional driving, providing timely and dignified end-of-life care.
• Monitor patient comfort, respond to needs, and assist with activities of daily living while maintaining safety and dignity.
• Adapt to home and facility conditions, including temperature changes, moderate noise, and standard healthcare exposures, while following infection-control and safety protocols.
