About The Position

Dependable Health Services is launching a new hospice program in Tucson and is seeking a compassionate and dedicated PRN Hospice Chaplain. This role involves providing spiritual care, emotional support, and guidance to patients and families during life's most meaningful moments. As part of the interdisciplinary hospice team, the Chaplain will help ensure holistic, patient-centered care that honors patients' beliefs, values, and spiritual needs.

Requirements

Degree in Theology, Divinity, Pastoral Studies, Ministry, or related field preferred.
Previous hospice, palliative care, healthcare, counseling, ministry, or pastoral care experience preferred.
Ability to provide non-denominational spiritual support while respecting individual beliefs and values.
Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
Strong documentation and organizational abilities.
Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance.
Ability to work a flexible PRN schedule throughout the Tucson area.

Responsibilities

Provide spiritual and emotional support to hospice patients and their families.
Conduct spiritual assessments and develop appropriate plans of care.
Document patient visits and interventions in a timely and accurate manner.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning discussions.
Support patients and families from diverse cultural, religious, and spiritual backgrounds.
Provide grief support and bereavement counseling as appropriate.
Coordinate services with community clergy and faith leaders when requested.
Educate team members regarding spiritual care needs and resources.
Maintain compliance with hospice regulations and company policies.
