The Hospice Chaplain and Volunteer Coordinator provides spiritual support based on identified needs, assesses spiritual concerns, and ensures spiritual support aligns with patient wishes. The position also involves providing consultation and education to hospice team members, healthcare facilities, and the community. Additionally, the role performs sacerdotal functions to address spiritual crises, assists with volunteer training, serves on the Interdisciplinary Group to develop care plans, provides on-call chaplaincy coverage, acts as a liaison to community clergy, and offers grief and bereavement counseling. The position requires adherence to company policies, state and federal laws, and maintaining confidentiality. The role also involves coordinating patient care responsibilities and performing other duties as assigned.
