This role plans and coordinates spiritual services for Hospice families and patients. The Hospice Chaplain and Volunteer Coordinator provides spiritual services based on identified needs, assesses spiritual needs through communication, and ensures spiritual support is available according to patient and family wishes. The position also involves providing consultation and education to the hospice team, healthcare centers, and the community, performing sacerdotal functions to address spiritual crises, assisting with volunteer training, serving on the Interdisciplinary Group to develop care plans, providing on-call chaplaincy coverage, acting as a liaison to community clergy, and offering grief and bereavement counseling. The role also includes conducting memorial/funeral services as requested and performing other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
