Gentiva is seeking a dependable, empathetic, and attentive Hospice Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant to provide personal care and emotional support to terminally ill patients wherever they call home, including private residences, assisted living facilities, and inpatient units. The role focuses on helping patients live safely and comfortably with dignity while supporting their families through end-of-life care. This is a safety-sensitive position. Compensation is $18–$22 per hour, with pay potentially varying based on factors such as location, experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, and department equity. The position requires an active CNA license in the state of employment, current CPR certification, a driver’s license, a reliable insured vehicle, and at least six months of direct patient care experience. Candidates should be comfortable working in home settings, hospice facilities, or long-term care environments, and be able to work independently, adapt to changing patient needs, and handle emotionally challenging situations with compassion and patience. Experience in home health, hospice, palliative care, oncology, or other listed clinical settings is preferred but not required. Gentiva offers benefits for full-time and per-diem hospice associates, with additional benefits for full-time associates. The company describes itself as a national provider of hospice, palliative, home health, and advanced illness management services, with nearly 600 locations across 38 states.
