About The Position

At St. Croix Hospice, Hospice Aides (CNAs) serve patients and families during an important time in life by bringing expert care, dignity, and compassion to the homes they visit. The Hospice Aide is an essential member of the interdisciplinary care team and provides compassionate, hands-on care to patients in their homes under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The role supports patients with personal care and daily living activities to help ensure comfort, dignity, and quality of life at the end of life.

Requirements

• Current CNA certification in the state of practice.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including bathing, skin and nail care, oral hygiene, and dressing or undressing.
• Record vital signs and report observations to the care team.
• Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as needed.
• Promote patient comfort, dignity, and safety.
• Travel to patient homes throughout the day and provide care as scheduled.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
