About The Position

Bring compassionate hospice care to the communities our patients call home. We’re looking for a caring and dependable Hospice Aide (CNA) to support patients in senior living communities in and around Albemarle County. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on personal care, comfort, and companionship while building meaningful relationships with patients, families, and community care teams. If you’re a CNA who loves caring for older adults and thrives in a community-based setting, we’d love to meet you!

Requirements

• Self-motivation

• Ability to function in stressful situations
• Basic computer skills
• Registered by the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a Certified Nursing Assistant
• Driver’s license, personal automobile, and current automobile liability insurance

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide range of responsibilities to ensure the well-being and comfort of patients.
• Personal Care: Assisting with hygiene, toileting, mobility, medication, and meal preparation.
• Health Monitoring: Measuring and recording fluid intake/output, and reporting changes to the nurse supervisor.
• Documentation: Maintaining electronic medical records (EMR) and documenting services provided.
• Housekeeping: Performing light housekeeping duties in the patient area.
• Patient Environment: Maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant environment while following infection control principles.
• Emergency Procedures: Recognizing and responding to emergencies.
• Professional Development: Maintaining competency and registration.
