About The Position

Compassus is seeking a Hospice Admissions Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team. This role is crucial in enabling patients to spend quality time with their loved ones by assessing their eligibility for hospice care and explaining the services to patients, families, and caregivers. The RN will ensure all initial patient needs are met and collaborate with the Inter-Disciplinary Team members regarding the initial plan of care, patient's condition, and other essential information. Requirements

  • RN license in the state you work
  • Two years of experience as a registered nurse
  • Current driver’s license
  • Current CPR and BCLS certification

Nice To Haves

  • Hospice experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Enable patients to spend quality time with their loved ones and doing the activities they enjoy
  • Assess patients for hospice eligibility and explain hospice care services to patients, families/caregivers
  • Ensure all patient’s initial needs are addressed
  • Collaborate with the Inter-Disciplinary Team members regarding initial plan of care, patient’s condition, and other essential information
