About The Position

Kline Galland Hospice is seeking a Hospice Admission RN to join their team. This versatile position encompasses triage, admissions, PRN visit help, and quality & compliance activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, flexibility, organization, compassion, and a team-oriented approach to care. While prior hospice experience is a plus, the organization is most excited about a nurse with a passion for hospice care. The role involves working in a focused territory in King County, with potential for territory changes or coverage in other areas. Although the majority of the time is spent in the field, the office in Georgetown is used for trainings, meetings, and team activities.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Three (3) years nursing experience
  • Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state
  • Complies with accepted professional standards and practice
  • Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills
  • Possesses and maintains CPR certification
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Hospice experience
  • Community/home health/hospice or medical/surgical experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Complete scheduled admissions
  • Complete urgent Admissions
  • Perform chart audits, compliance tracking and other quality improvement activities
  • Profile medications with hospice pharmacy as needed. Assist case managers in obtaining medication refills
  • Assist in ordering durable medical equipment as needed to support patient care
  • Assist with flu clinics, tracking requests for patient flu vaccination and COVID testing
  • Cover visit help requests per manager request. This includes PPS visits, PRN, and/or routine visits as needed
  • Work collaboratively with Hospice Management team to field triage calls and meet daily needs of hospice patients
