About The Position

Suncrest At Brighton/Suncrest Hospice is a CHAP-certified hospice provider focused on changing the expectation of hospice care through investing in its people. They are seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and results-driven Executive Director/Administrator to lead their hospice operations and clinical team in Walnut Creek. This role involves establishing and evaluating goals for hospice services, hiring qualified personnel, overseeing the provision of services, delegating and coordinating personnel evaluations, and establishing standards of care to comply with regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong hospice leadership experience, a passion for patient-centered care, and the ability to strategically lead people and operations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of healthcare experience preferred
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in a direct hospice setting as a director of nursing or administrator
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the state(s) of practice.
  • Must be willing to drive with reliable transportation, valid driver's license and auto insurance
  • Support, build, and sustain a diverse team of talent who successfully and consistently deliver on objections and goals

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee hospice operations and clinical services, ensuring exceptional patient and family care while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and survey readiness while driving quality improvement and operational excellence.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the team, fostering a culture of accountability, compassion, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Support Suncrest Hospice’s mission, vision, and values while partnering with regional leadership on staffing, budgeting, operational planning, and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive growth and community engagement by building strong partnerships, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and ensuring the agency meets the needs of patients, families, and the community.
  • Implement policies, procedures and best practice for operations.

Benefits

  • Salary: $160,000-190,000
  • 144 PTO hours per calendar year
