About The Position

Responsible for assembling, diagnosing, and repairing Cat and non-Cat hoses to customer specifications. The technician also serves as the primary customer service contact for assisting customers and gathering hose specifications. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive; a supervisor may assign similar duties. Major modifications to the role require Human Resources approval.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Two years of experience assembling hydraulic hoses.
• Able to periodically lift parts weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, diagnose, and repair hoses according to customer specifications.
• Troubleshoot failed Cat and non-Cat hose assemblies and determine appropriate repair procedures.
• Inspect and disassemble hoses, determine the parts needed, and reassemble hoses to factory specifications.
• Interpret and use information from Caterpillar’s Hose Information System (HIS) and Service Information Systems (SIS) programs.
• Prepare parts requisitions and other necessary paperwork.
• Serve as the primary customer service contact, assisting customers and gathering hose specifications.
