About The Position
CSL Group Ltd. is seeking a Horticultural Technician with a Red Seal certification or a degree in Horticulture or a related field. The role involves applying horticultural expertise to various tasks including pruning, planting, turf care, bed maintenance, and softscape installation. The technician will support crew members, identify and address landscape needs, operate and maintain equipment, and assist with training. The position requires maintaining high-quality standards, representing the company professionally, and adapting to changing conditions. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about horticulture and thriving in outdoor environments.
Requirements
- Red Seal Horticultural Technician OR a degree in Horticulture (or related field) (required)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
- Bilingual – English & French (spoken and written)
- 1–3+ years of landscaping or horticulture experience
- Strong plant knowledge and attention to detail
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
- Physically able to lift, dig, climb, bend, and work outdoors for extended periods
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and develop technical skills
Responsibilities
- Apply horticultural expertise to tasks such as pruning, planting, turf care, bed maintenance, and softscape installation
- Support and collaborate with crew members on daily maintenance activities
- Identify and address the needs of a variety of commercial landscapes
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment safely and effectively
- Assist with training and sharing best practices with team members
- Maintain high-quality standards across all job sites
- Represent CSL professionally when interacting with clients and the public
- Adapt to changing weather conditions and job site demands with a positive mindset
