About The Position
CSL Group Ltd. is seeking a Horticultural Technician with a Red Seal certification or a degree in Horticulture or a related field. This role involves applying horticultural expertise to various landscaping tasks, supporting crew members, identifying landscape needs, operating equipment, and maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in outdoor environments and possess strong plant knowledge and a passion for hands-on work.
Requirements
- Red Seal Horticultural Technician OR a degree in Horticulture (or related field) (required)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
- 1–3+ years of landscaping or horticulture experience
- Strong plant knowledge and attention to detail
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
- Physically able to lift, dig, climb, bend, and work outdoors for extended periods
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and develop technical skills
Responsibilities
- Apply horticultural expertise to tasks such as pruning, planting, turf care, bed maintenance, and softscape installation
- Support and collaborate with crew members on daily maintenance activities
- Identify and address the needs of a variety of commercial landscapes
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment safely and effectively
- Assist with training and sharing best practices with team members
- Maintain high-quality standards across all job sites
- Represent CSL professionally when interacting with clients and the public
- Adapt to changing weather conditions and job site demands with a positive mindset
