Horticultural Supervisor – Buffalo Trace Distillery

Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in horticulture from an accredited institution
- 5+ years supervising or managing in the horticultural field
- Deep plant knowledge across species, ornamental horticulture, and plant culture
- Strong training, communication, and public-speaking skills
- Experience with plant collections database software
- Sharp attention to detail and a drive for results
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and inspect the work of the grounds team, holding horticultural practices to the highest standard
- Safeguard the health of the Buffalo Trace plant collection and keep the plant records database and labeling current
- Plan and execute seasonal color and landscape enhancements
- Support garden and arboretum tours, public educational programs, and accreditation requirements
- Partner with the Homeplace Planner/Coordinator and management on scheduling, SOP development, and contractor management
- Pitch in on the Homeplace team's full range of work — event and holiday setup, building maintenance, and more
- Keep safety front and center in every project
