About The Position
Temp To Perm LK Jordan is currently hiring an experienced Machinist for a company located in Northwest Houston. This is a great opportunity for candidates with precision machining experience working on pump components and rotating equipment parts. Competitive pay offered based on experience, plus regular overtime available.
Requirements
- Previous machinist experience required
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
- Strong math and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- High School Diploma or GED required
Nice To Haves
- Experience machining pump or rotating equipment parts preferred
Responsibilities
- Precision machining of pump parts including rings, bushings, sleeves, and shafts
- Maintain tight tolerances up to .001 T.I.R. on finished products
- Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Set up and operate manual, semi-automated, or automated machines including lathes and grinders
- Take accurate measurements using precision tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Monitor machine performance and inspect finished products for quality
- Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs
