About The Position

Under the immediate supervision of the Interim Director of the CSUSB Honors College, in collaboration with the Administrative Coordinator and Student Engagement Coordinator, the incumbent is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Honors College team. This will include cross-functional support to other areas of the unit as needed. The Honors College Student Assistant will have a strong interest in assisting students and other cross-functional areas and a drive to become a valued team member. Our ambition is to attract and retain the best talent in the market to continue our journey building a world-class in-house Honors College team while carrying out the University’s mission and vision statement.

Requirements

Ability to learn and perform assigned work.
Follow oral instructions.
Work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students.
Communicate effectively with all levels.
Read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or greater per semester and cumulative.
Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate).
International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate).
Eligible to work in the United States.
Possession of a valid Driver's License may be required.
Must reside in the State of California.
Must complete Sexual Violence Prevention Training within 6 months of assuming employment and on a two-year basis thereafter.

Responsibilities

Organize and track records of all documentation submitted and processed by the Office.
Maintain files (creating, updating, and organizing).
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Interim Director or Lead.
Maintain social media and marketing.
Answer calls and assist anyone that walks into the office with questions.
