Requirements

Willingness to complete ServSafe course and obtain certificate
Willingness to complete Dining Assistant Training course
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
Applicants for this position must be able to produce a negative drug test.
Applicants may be subject to a background check.
Employees in this position must be able to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve quality meals and snacks while following menus, recipes, dietary needs, and food safety regulations
Accommodate special diets and food substitutions to meet residents' nutritional and personal preferences
Encourage resident input on food choices, menus, and meal presentation
Assist residents with eating and dining support according to training and care guidelines
Follow sanitation, food handling, and temperature monitoring procedures to ensure safety and regulatory compliance
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen; monitor equipment and report maintenance needs
Manage grocery inventory and perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
