About The Position

UniversaCare is hiring a homemaker and companion to provide care to clients in their own homes in Hartford County. This is a field position: you’ll travel to clients’ homes, not work in an office. Hiring, onboarding and support are handled by our UniversaCare of Connecticut - Bloomfield office at 45 Wintonbury Avenue, Suite 102, Bloomfield, CT 06002. Pay: $16.94 to $25 per hour. Schedule: Part-time and full-time.

Requirements

• A caring attitude and reliability
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• Completion of the background check and health screening required for the role

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, conversation and activities
• Prepare meals, do light housekeeping and laundry
• Run errands and go with clients to appointments
• Help clients keep a safe, steady daily routine
