About The Position

The Home Care Reimbursement Specialist under the direction of the Supervisor Administrative Services determines and obtains the appropriate funding for each episode through insurance verification and authorization Medicare and Medicaid eligibility checks and verifying that criteria are met for reimbursement. This position is responsible for referral and authorization data entry into the system. This position is responsible for Re authorization of services. This position is responsible for data entry of orders medications and OASIS entry for paper clinicians.

Requirements

• 1 year of applicable experience
• Family Care Safety Registry - Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services

Responsibilities

• Determines and obtains the appropriate funding for each episode through insurance verification and authorization.
• Performs Medicare and Medicaid eligibility checks.
• Verifies that criteria are met for reimbursement.
• Responsible for referral and authorization data entry into the system.
• Responsible for re-authorization of services.
• Responsible for data entry of orders, medications, and OASIS entry for paper clinicians.
