Requirements

Secondary School Graduate or equivalent
Reliable transportation
Clear criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening
Proven experience, of at least one year, in a similar role is highly desirable.
Understanding of infection prevention practices.
Exceptional communication and observational skills.
Proficiency in performing light housekeeping tasks.
Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Nice To Haves

Completion of Home Support Program/courses preferred

Responsibilities

Execute homemaking tasks according to the established care plan, ensuring the highest standards of comfort and safety for our clients.
Perform light housekeeping duties, including washing dishes, doing laundry, making beds, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting, vacuuming, and removing garbage.
Prepare nutritious meals as outlined in the care plan and shop for groceries and personal items.
Provide attentive childcare and pet care as specified in the care plan.
Observe client conditions meticulously and report any unusual events or changes in condition promptly.
Adhere to infection prevention practices to ensure a safe environment.
Maintain accurate and detailed client records and documentation as required.
Engage in ongoing internal and external continuing education activities to stay updated with best practices in home support.
