About The Position

Supported Lifestyles Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Home Supervisor to join its caring and diverse team. This role involves direct support to front-line staff in group home environments, ensuring the delivery of quality, specialized client services in accordance with the agency's mission and standards. The Home Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day activities of the group home, manage staff scheduling, mentor and evaluate staff, provide training, communicate with families and stakeholders, respond to crisis situations, deliver client services, provide direct support as needed, ensure accurate documentation, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • A 2-year diploma in a related field (e.g., Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, etc.) or a degree in any discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution is required.
  • Minimum one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges.
  • Minimum one year of supervisory experience required.
  • Experience providing behavioural supports to clients.
  • Experience providing personal care (e.g., assisting with bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Access to a personal vehicle is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Current First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the group home, ensuring a safe, supportive, and high-quality environment for individuals in service.
  • Manage scheduling for front-line staff to ensure adequate coverage and continuity of care.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate front-line staff, providing ongoing guidance and support.
  • Provide orientation and training to new staff in accordance with organizational policies and position standards.
  • Communicate regularly with families, guardians, and multidisciplinary team members regarding individual client needs and progress.
  • Respond to crisis situations as required, applying de-escalation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Deliver quality, specialized client services in accordance with Supported Lifestyles' mission, philosophy, agency, and position standards.
  • Provide direct support to individuals in service as needed, including behavioural and emotional support and personal care.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of client records, case notes, and reports.
  • Identify and address opportunities for continuous improvement in service delivery.
