About The Position

Colorado's leading experts in comprehensive home efficiency, from residential electrification and natural cooling to energy audits and insulation, are looking for a Home Performance Sales Advisor. This role blends technical home assessment with consultative, high-level sales. Unlike traditional energy auditor roles, this position is designed for a closer. The sales advisor gathers facts in the field, an engineering team handles the audit report, and the advisor focuses on educating homeowners, providing solutions, and closing deals. The role is based heavily in the field, running primarily throughout the Denver Metro area, with typically three scheduled appointments per day, lasting about 2 to 2.5 hours each.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in residential construction, home inspection, or building sciences.
  • Consultative sales skills with the ability to guide homeowners through major upgrades without being pushy.
  • Solid background in residential homes, retrofits, construction, or home inspection, with knowledge of how a house functions.
  • Comfortable with physical tasks including climbing ladders, navigating tight crawlspaces, moving through attics, and getting on residential roofs.
  • Tech-savvy with experience using CRM software like ServiceTitan for tasks, estimating, and follow-ups.
  • Available Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Must be Responsible, Dependable, Respectful, and Thorough.

  • BPI-certified auditor certification (training and certification pathways are provided).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical assessments of homes, including taking photos, filling out standardized checklists, navigating attics and crawlspaces, and occasionally measuring on residential roofs.
  • Consult with homeowners, explain efficiency gaps, build estimates, and sell insulation and efficiency upgrades, highlighting Xcel rebate benefits.
  • Identify opportunities for electrical panel upgrades or new water heaters and pass these leads to the plumbing/electrical teams to earn cross-sell commission.
  • Use ServiceTitan for CRM tasks, estimating, follow-ups, and managing the sales pipeline.
  • Follow up with open estimates and nurture relationships to maintain a full pipeline.
