About The Position

Drives own vehicle over established route to deliver prepared meals to homebound elders. Examines filled trays for completeness and ensures food is delivered in conformance with standards. Listens to and reports client complaints to supervisor; reports abnormal conditions observed at clients’ homes. Records information and completed reports. Ensures all delivery equipment is in good condition and is responsible for the sanitation on a daily basis. Ensures the prepared meal plate is delivered to homebound elderly in hand and/or face to face at all times. Other duties may be assigned. Reports hazardous situations to supervisors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current Class C drivers license and acceptable driving records as required by insurance carrier.
• Must have own transportation and possess personal auto liability insurance.
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to sit and taste or smell.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
