PRN Home Infusion RN
About The Position
This is a PRN (as needed) remote and autonomous position providing home infusion therapies, specifically Immune Globulin (IVIG) infusions, to patients in the Atlanta, GA area. It offers a change from the traditional hospital setting, allowing for a better work-life balance and the opportunity to build one-on-one relationships with patients. The role involves providing clinical IV experience and patient education in the comfort of their homes, adhering to the physician's plan of treatment. Continuous training on leading-edge technology and clinical requirements in specialty infusion is provided, with reimbursement for eligible certifications like Immune Globulin Certified Nurse (IgCN). While primarily serving the Atlanta area, occasional travel up to 150-200 miles one way may be required, with travel time paid and mileage reimbursed.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current license in Georgia and the ability to be licensed in other states
- Minimum one year nursing experience
- Current CPR certification
- A valid and current driver's license and auto insurance (Liability limits of at least $100,000/$300,000 or $300,000 CSL and no business exclusion clause)
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and Word to document and track patient care activity
Nice To Haves
- Three years' nursing experience
- One year infusion experience
- Home healthcare experience
- CRNI or IgCN certification preferred, not required
- Additional licensure may be required in multi-state service areas
Responsibilities
- Provide immune globulin infusion therapies in our patients' homes
- Use clinical IV experience and personal touch to assist patients in their homes
- Provide one-on-one home infusion nursing care visits and patient education in accordance with the physician's plan of treatment
- Have excellent written and verbal customer service skills to interact with patients, physicians, pharmacists, and other partners
- Receive continuous training on leading edge technology and clinical requirements in specialty infusion
