About The Position

CVS Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide home infusion care in Albany and surrounding areas. The role offers a specialized nursing environment outside the hospital, with time to build one-on-one relationships with patients and their families. The nurse provides a broad range of infusion therapies in patients’ homes, delivering care and education according to each physician’s plan of treatment. Nurses receive ongoing training in specialty infusion technology and clinical requirements. Eligible certification and recertification expenses may be reimbursed, including for Certified Registered Nurse of Infusion (CRNI®) certification.

This is a full-time position with hours mostly during the day, though work may extend into the evening. The position includes a telephonic on-call rotation of approximately five days per year, with no in-person visits while on call. Patient visits may involve drives of up to two hours; hourly pay applies to both patient care and drive time. Additional licensure may be required in multistate service areas. The role requires excellent written and verbal customer service skills when interacting with patients, physicians, pharmacists, and other partners.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in New York.
• At least one year of nursing experience.
• At least one year of infusion or IV experience, including strong IV insertion skills.
• Current CPR certification, which must be maintained.
• Valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and Word for documenting and tracking patient care activity.
• Ability to participate in the on-call rotation as required.
• RN Diploma, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide a broad range of infusion therapies in patients’ homes.
• Deliver one-on-one home infusion nursing care and patient education in accordance with the physician’s plan of treatment.
• Use clinical IV experience and compassionate care to support patients recovering at home.
• Document and track patient care activity using Microsoft Office applications.
• Participate in the on-call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs.
• Travel to patients in Albany and surrounding areas, with drives of up to two hours possible at times.
• Interact with patients, physicians, pharmacists, and other partners.
