About The Position

This is a PRN (as needed) position for a Home Infusion / IVIG Registered Nurse (RN) in the Springfield, IL area. This role is fully remote and autonomous, providing infusions in patients' homes. It offers a change from the traditional hospital setting, allowing for a better work-life balance and the opportunity to build one-on-one relationships with patients. The position involves providing immune globulin infusion therapies, utilizing clinical IV experience and a personal touch to care for patients in their homes. It requires one-on-one nursing care visits and patient education according to the physician's plan of treatment. Excellent written and verbal customer service skills are essential for interacting with patients, physicians, pharmacists, and other partners. The role also offers continuous training on leading-edge technology and clinical requirements in specialty infusion, with reimbursement for eligible certifications like Immune Globulin Certified Nurse (IgCN). Occasional travel up to 150-200 miles one way is required, with paid travel time and mileage reimbursement.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with current license in Illinois and the ability to be licensed in other states
• Minimum one year nursing experience; IV-related experience a plus
• Have and maintain current CPR certification
• Possess a valid and current driver's license and auto insurance (Liability limits of at least $100,000/$300,000 or $300,000 CSL and no business exclusion clause)
• Have experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and Word to document and track patient care activity

Nice To Haves

• Three years' nursing experience
• One year infusion experience
• Home healthcare experience
• CRNI or IgCN certification preferred, not required

Responsibilities

• Provide immune globulin infusion therapies in our patients' homes
• Use clinical IV experience and personal touch to assist patients in their own homes
• Provide one-on-one home infusion nursing care visits and patient education in accordance with the physician's plan of treatment
• Have excellent written and verbal customer service skills in order to interact with the patient, physician, pharmacist and other partners
• Challenge clinical nursing (RN) skills by receiving continuous training on leading edge technology and clinical requirements in specialty infusion
