About The Position
As a Private Duty Nurse, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our client by delivering personalized, high-quality care in a comfortable home environment. Centria Healthcare is committed to providing exceptional care for patients of all ages. We specialize in two key areas: Pediatric Care: Supporting children with complex medical needs, including tracheostomies and ventilators. Adult Care: Providing skilled nursing to adults recovering from severe motor vehicle accidents resulting in quadriplegia, paraplegia, traumatic brain, severe orthopedic and other traumatic injuries. At Centria, we pride ourselves on hiring excellent nurses and providing them with access to a diverse patient population that they might not encounter in traditional facility or hospital settings. Our success is driven by our comprehensive training program designed to prepare nurses to deliver comfortable, confident, and positive outcomes for our clients. We have immediate needs for private duty nurses (RNs or LPNs) to provide home care to pediatric patients. Our pediatric population ranges in ages from birth to 21 years of age.
Requirements
- Licensed RN or LPN in the state of Michigan.
- Experience in home health, private duty nursing, or long-term care preferred.
- Experience with tracheotomy and ventilator care (for pediatric positions).
- Knowledge of paraplegia-related care, including skin integrity, mobility assistance, and respiratory support, is a plus.
- Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Female Nurses Only per family request.
- Female nurses with at least two years of pediatric trach experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in home health, private duty nursing, or long-term care preferred.
- Knowledge of paraplegia-related care, including skin integrity, mobility assistance, and respiratory support, is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care, including but not limited to tracheostomy care, ventilator management (if applicable), catheter care, wound care, medication administration, and bowel/bladder programs.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as repositioning, transfers, and hygiene.
- Monitor the patient’s vital signs, symptoms, and overall well-being, reporting any concerns to the healthcare team.
- Offer emotional support and companionship, ensuring a positive and comfortable environment.
- Collaborate with family members, caregivers, and medical professionals to maintain continuity of care.
